Directions Left-Side Position: Lie on left side with knee bent and arms at rest. Knee-Chest Position: Kneel, then lower head and chest forward until left side of face is resting on surface. Position arms comfortably. To Administer: CAUTION: REMOVE GREEN SHIELD FROM INSERTION TIP BEFORE USING. Hold unit upright and remove green shield to expose lubricated applicator tip. Relax and with steady pressure gently insert enema tip into rectum, with applicator tip pointing toward navel. Discontinue use if resistance is encountered. Do not force enema since injury could result. Squeeze bottle until liquid is dispensed. Remove applicator tip from bottle. It is not necessary to empty unit completely. Bottle contains more liquid than needed for effective use. A small amount of liquid will remain in bottle after squeezing. Maintain position until urge to evacuate is strong, usually 2 to 5 minutes. Evacuate. Adult: One bottle (118 mL delivered dose) or as directed by physician. Children over 2 years: One-half the adult dosage or as directed by physician. Do not administer to children under 2 years of age. If you administer the enema solution and do not evacuate the liquid, contact a physician immediately as a more serious condition could occur. Warnings Do not use laxative products when nausea, vomiting, or abdominal pain is present. If you notice a sudden change in bowel habits that persists over a period of 2 weeks, consult a physician. Rectal bleeding or failure to have a bowel movement after use of a laxative may indicate a serious condition. Discontinue use and consult a physician. Do not use this product if you are on a low salt diet unless directed by a physician. Laxative products should not be used longer than 1 week unless directed by a physician. Frequent or prolonged use may result in dependence. Do not use this product if you have kidney disease unless directed by a physician.
