Anusol Suppository 12ct - Suppositories Uses Gives temporary relief from the itching, burning and discomfort associated with hemorrhoids and other anorectal disorders and provides a coating to protect irritated tissue. Directions Adults- When practical, cleanse the affected area with mild soap and warm water and rinse thoroughly. Gently dry by patting or blotting with toilet tissue or a soft cloth before application of this product. Detach 1 suppository from the strip of suppositories. Remove wrapper before inserting into the rectum as follows: Hold suppository upright (with words "pull apart" at top) and carefully separate foil by inserting tip of fingernail at foil split. Peel foil slowly and evenly down both sides, exposing suppository. Avoid excessive handling of suppository which is designed to melt at body temperature. If suppository seems soft, hold in foil wrapper under cold water for 2 or 3 minutes. Insert 1 suppository rectally up to 6 times daily or after each bowel movement. Children under 12 years of age: Consult a physician. Warnings Do not exceed the recommended daily dosage unless directed by a physician. If condition worsens or does not improve within 7 days, consult a physician. In case of bleeding, consult a physician promptly. KEEP THIS AND ALL DRUGS OUT OF THE REACH OF CHILDREN. Gently dry by patting or blotting with tissue or a soft cloth before insertion of this product. Detach one suppository from the strip; remove the foil wrapper before inserting into the rectum as follows: Hold suppository with rounded end up. Carefully separate foil by inserting tip of fingernail at end marked "peel down." Slowly and evenly peel apart (do not tear) foil by pulling tabs down both sides, to expose the suppository. Remove exposed suppository from wrapper. Insert one suppository into the rectum up to 4 times daily, especially at night, in the morning or after each bowel movement. Children under 12 years of age: ask a doctor. Warnings For rectal use only. Ask a doctor before use if you have: heart disease, high blood pressure, thyroid disease, diabetes, difficulty in urination due to enlargement of the prostate gland.
